How Do I Install A Removable Bollard?

If you have an existing concrete slab either a ‘core drilled’ sleeve or a ‘surface mount shoe’ can be used. Asphalt, gravel or installations direct into untouched ground will require a ‘new concrete’ sleeve. These installations both require a hole dug to the depth of each sleeve and either filled with a two-part epoxy for the core drilled version or freshly poured concrete around the new concrete sleeve. A surface mount shoe can be installed on flat concrete surfaces with simple to use fixings.
Which Bollard Sleeve or Footing Do I Choose?
There are a few things to consider when choosing the right bollard sleeve or footing for your needs. First, consider the environment and ground conditions where the bollard will be installed. If the area is subject to freezing temperatures, you will need a bollard sleeve that is designed to resist cracking and heaving. Second, think about the weight and size of the bollard. Heavier and larger removable bollards will require a larger base plate or concrete footing. Finally, consider the traffic conditions in the area. If the bollard will be subject to regular impact, you will need a bollard sleeve and footing that are designed to resist damage.
